I got sober (for the 2nd time) on August 8, 2023. Here are some of the most impactful things I've learned since then.
Drama will start to fall away because you tolerate a lot less bullshit.
It's not actually that scary facing social anxiety without alcohol. And honestly, you're probably a better conversationalist than you realize! (Pro tip: genuinely compliment people and ask open ended questions in conversations. You'll connect with others in no time!!!)
Diaphragm breathing is a way better stress reducer than alcohol. Here's a free guided breathing audio resource on my Youtube channel.
The real homies will encourage you, support you and stay in your life.
The more deeply you connect with yourself, the more deeply you can connect with others. Then your relationships can become a lot deeper, more loving and fulfilling.
Sobriety is way more fun & spontaneous than drinking.
Your sobriety impacts the people in your life positively, more than you know.
